MIA…
By · CommentsWell, it’s been quite a while since I last posted here and to be honest, I just simply lost the time and the motivation to do so.
There has been quote a lot of things take place since my last post, most notable among things, is that I have separated from my wife of 10 years; this has taken a good deal of my time and the reasons for it I am not going to discuss here only to say that we have separated on good terms and that the welfare of our son Matthew has been placed at the fore.
One disappointing aspect of the separation is that it means my trip to Cape York has had to be postponed for at least 2 years; so all I can say is that the Mayans had better be wrong or I am going to be mighty pissed off with them
I have also sold my boat, so i’m back to land based fishing but the money that I received from that went into new furniture and other stuff for the house that I am living in now.
The house that I am living in is in the same suburb as before and only one street away from Matt so that he can come and visit as much as he wants; I have his pet beagle Max with me and he is good company in that regard and always happy to see me come home.
Ah well, this will do for an update for now; I’ll try and post a bit more often once everything has settled down and into place 100%.
Happy Australia Day!
By · CommentsG’day mate,
Wishing everyone a happy Australia Day for 2012!!
Looking for something to do in the Cairns region? Check out the page at http://www.cairns.qld.gov.au/region/whats-on/australia-day for some great free activities in the Cairns CBD or the surrounding regions, no matter where you are there’s something going on.
Myself, I’ll be heading to Palm Cove with Matt for the Australia Day breakfast on Williams Esplanade at Palm Cove - a great way to start the day!
No matter where you are, in Oz or overseas have a great Australia Day and have a beer and a game of street or backyard Cricket with the kids and the dog with a BBQ at some stage along with a few beers!
Matt’s new trick
By · CommentsIf it’s one thing that Matt loves, it’s riding his bike / scooter or skateboard, and the video below is testimony to this:
Hmmm, does he look happy with himself or what?
